What is Related Together?

GRANTMAKING FOUNDATION

Related Together is a private grantmaking foundation with a mission to fund projects that foster change and economic growth in underinvested communities in West Palm Beach. Each year, Related Together will contribute funds to implement projects and programs focused on six pillars, including education, housing, income and employment opportunities, healthcare access, arts and culture engagement and digital accessibility.

MISSION

Through an active partnership with residents and stakeholders, Related Together’s mission is to accelerate economic mobility and amplify resources by funding inclusive projects and creating educational programs across high-poverty neighborhoods.

INITIAL FOCUS AREA

The initial phase will focus on the Historic Northwest, Coleman Park, and Pleasant City neighborhoods, which are underinvested, largely Black-occupied communities, located within proximity to Downtown West Palm Beach.

The Need

The target neighborhoods have a total population of approximately 5,600 people with significant poverty and health issues. Despite the challenges the residents face, these neighborhoods have rich histories and vast opportunity for social and economic growth given that they sit north of Downtown West Palm Beach and have little to no physical infrastructure.

Related Together and its partners are committed to upholding the culture and legacy of each neighborhood.

The Approach

Through an active partnership with residents and stakeholders, Related Together will fund and support holistic neighborhood transformation efforts to foster change by turning the cycle of poverty into a cycle of opportunity.

Making the Impact

Each year, Related Together will contribute funds to non-profits implementing projects and programs in the target communities that align with the focus areas.
